RF Microneedling: Downtime & Aftercare

Downtime is minimal, with most people experiencing just slight redness and swelling for a day or two. You can typically resume your normal routine the very next day.

 

Aftercare Instructions:

For the best results and to ensure proper healing, follow these guidelines:

• Protect from the Sun: Stay out of direct sun exposure. Use a sunscreen with at least 9% zinc and a moisturizing lotion with SPF 50.

• Gentle Cleansing: For the first 5 days, wash your face only with plain tap water.

• Avoid Irritants:

  • Don't use any other skincare products (unless specifically advised by your provider).

  • Skip jacuzzis and hot showers for 5 days.

  • Avoid intense exercise immediately after your treatment.

Is the Microneedling RF painful?

Microneedling RF is not painful because we numb the treatment area. 

 

Do Not Get RF Microneedling If You Have:

• Implanted Electronics: Pacemakers, defibrillators, or other electronic implants.

• Active Skin Issues: Active acne, cold sores/shingles, eczema, psoriasis, or any skin infection/open wounds in the treatment area.

• Medical Conditions: Pregnancy/breastfeeding, uncontrolled diabetes, blood clotting disorders, a history of keloids, or a compromised immune system.

• Recent Procedures/Medications: Taken Accutane in the last 6-12 months, had recent Botox/fillers (wait 2+ weeks), or recent aggressive laser/peel treatments.

• Tattoos or Metal Implants (in the treatment area – discuss with provider).
